AI coaching · your words, not ours

They matched.
Now what?

Caliber analyzes your dating conversations, shows you what's working, and teaches you why — so you build the skill yourself.

Your words, sharpened. Not replaced.

Built by researchers, not pickup artists.

Reading the room
She could be giving you an opening — "no one ever wants to make the trip" often signals interest in making plans. Momentum is strong but trajectory is low because nobody's moved toward meeting yet.
Lesson · Invitation detection
When someone shares an obstacle ("no one wants to"), it can signal openness to a solution. A specific plan reduces ambiguity and shows decisiveness.

Clear & Direct
"well I'm definitely making the trip — thursday or friday work for you?"
Specific plan + two options. Reduces ambiguity and moves things forward. Matches her casual lowercase tone.
Warm & Playful
"ok well now I have to go back, you're basically obligated to show me the good spots"
Avoid
Asking "would you want to go sometime?" — too vague, puts the work on her
Continuing to talk about food without progressing — momentum will stall

Momentum tracks whether the conversation will continue. Trajectory tracks whether it's moving toward a date. Both update with each analysis.

Three steps. Real signal.
Upload a conversation screenshot or a match's dating profile. See what's working and what's not. Learn the principle behind it — then move on.
01

Screenshot

Upload a conversation screenshot or a new match's profile from Hinge, Bumble, iMessage, or any platform. Text is read on your device — the image never leaves your phone.

02

Analysis

Get dual scores, a coaching read of the conversation dynamics, three reply options ranked by fit, and the reasoning behind each one.

03

Learn

Each analysis teaches a principle — asking better follow-ups, reading soft invitations, knowing when to propose plans. Over time, you stop needing the app. That's the point.

They matched. You haven't texted yet.
Upload their dating profile screenshot. Caliber reads their prompts, finds conversation hooks, and coaches you on three opener strategies — with the reasoning behind each one.

Upload their profile

Screenshot their Hinge prompts, Bumble bio, or dating profile. Text is read on your device — the image stays on your phone.

Three opener strategies, each anchored to something specific in their profile. With reasoning for why each approach works — and what to avoid.

Same coaching engine. Same research. Different starting point. When they respond, the thread transitions into conversation coaching automatically.

Coach, not crutch.
Reply generators create dependency. Caliber builds skill. Every suggestion comes with the reasoning behind it — so you learn what works and stop needing us.
Evidence-based

Built on published research

Scoring and coaching grounded in peer-reviewed studies on communication, attraction, and decision-making — not Reddit threads or pickup artist blogs.

Teaching system

Shows you why, not just what

Every reply includes the reasoning. Coaching adapts to where the conversation is — early rapport needs different advice than asking someone out. When you go off-script, the guideback system shows you what you did well.

Dual scoring

Momentum + Trajectory

Two scores track different signals: will the conversation continue (momentum) and is it moving toward a date (trajectory). Trend arrows show direction, not just numbers.

Graduation model

Designed to become unnecessary

Every analysis teaches a transferable principle. The coaching is built so that over time, you internalize the patterns and stop needing the app.

Interest level

Know where you stand

Before coaching or replies, Caliber reads interest level from behavioral signals — elaboration, question-asking, warmth markers. Honest read, not wishful thinking.

Personal Playbook

Your lessons accumulate

Every analysis teaches a reusable principle. They collect in your Playbook — categorized, tagged by what worked, resurfaced when you need them.

Outcome tracking

Close the loop

Log what happened — they replied, got the date, conversation faded. Caliber connects your coaching to your outcomes so you learn what actually works.

Weekly report

Progress, not just replies

A personalized weekly coaching summary — your top signals, new personal bests, and one specific focus for next week. Like a coach checking in.

You don't guess at anything else.
You track your lifts, your sleep, your spend. Caliber gives your conversations the same rigor — real signals, scored analysis, no guesswork.
The Overthinker
You screenshot every conversation and send it to the group chat. You draft three versions of a reply and send none. Caliber replaces the guesswork with a framework.
The Comeback
You haven't dated in years. The apps feel different now and you feel rusty. Caliber gets you back up to speed without the learning curve.
The Optimizer
You don't need coaching — you want signal. Caliber gives you conversation analytics: scored reads, trend data, and what's actually landing.
Zero bro science.
Every coaching decision maps to published findings. Here's what shaped the product — and why it matters for your conversations.
Why we emphasize follow-up questions. People who ask more follow-up questions are rated as more likable and more likely to get a second date.
Huang, Yeomans, Brooks, Minson & Gino, 2017 · Journal of Personality and Social Psychology
Why we don't write your messages. Perceived authenticity predicts desire for relationship initiation. Scripted or performative behavior triggers disengagement.
Rossignac-Milon et al., 2024 · Columbia · Speed-dating with audio coding
Why we distinguish momentum from trajectory. Linguistic style matching between partners predicts mutual romantic interest — but rapport alone doesn't create dates.
Ireland, Slatcher, Eastwick, Scissors, Finkel & Pennebaker, 2011 · Psychological Science
Why we flag deal-breakers first. Avoidance cues weigh more heavily than positive traits in partner evaluation — mistakes cost more than strengths gain.
Jonason, Garcia, Webster, Li & Fisher, 2015 · Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin · N>6,500
Why we believe this works. Brief social skills coaching produced measurable increases in desirability ratings in controlled speed-dating trials.
Li et al., 2020 · Journal of Experimental Social Psychology
Why we track timing. Texting the morning after a date produces the highest second-date interest — beating both immediate texts and multi-day delays.
Teichmann et al., 2026 · Journal of Social and Personal Relationships · N=543
Why we track outcomes. Self-report logging is the single strongest predictor of behavior change in coaching apps — stronger than the coaching itself.
Cho et al., 2016 · Nature Scientific Reports · N=35,921 · OR=10.69
Why we resurface lessons. Interleaved practice across topics produces 76% higher retention at one month than blocked single-topic review.
Rohrer, Dedrick & Stershic, 2015 · Journal of Educational Psychology · d=1.05
These findings informed Caliber's coaching model. They represent published research, not proprietary validation of our product.
Your conversations stay on your phone.
Screenshots are read on your iPhone. The raw image stays on your device. Extracted conversation text is sent through our service to generate scores and coaching. We don't store conversation content on our servers.

On-device OCR

Screenshots are read using Apple Vision on your device. Text is extracted locally — the screenshot image itself is never uploaded.

Text sent, not stored

Extracted text is sent to our AI provider to generate your analysis. It is not stored on our servers afterward. We log behavioral metadata — platform, scores, reply style chosen — not conversation content.

Frequently asked.
Does Caliber write my messages for me?
Caliber gives you three reply strategies with the reasoning behind each one. You can tap to copy a suggested reply or write your own — and if you go off-script, the guideback system coaches you on what you did. For First Move, you can also tap "Write it for me" to get a sendable opener in your voice.
Do my screenshots leave my phone?
The screenshot image stays on your device. Text is extracted locally using Apple Vision. Only the extracted conversation text is sent to our AI provider for analysis, with your permission.
Do you store my conversations?
No. Our server stores behavioral metadata — which platform, conversation stage, scores, and which reply style you chose. Not the words in your conversations.
Is this for getting more matches or better conversations?
Better conversations. Caliber starts after the match — it helps you turn matches into real conversations and real conversations into dates.
Do I need to create an account?
Not for your first analysis. You can try Caliber immediately. An account is only needed if you subscribe or want to track progress across conversations.
Is this iPhone only?
Yes, for now. Caliber is a native iOS app. Android is on the roadmap.
What's the Playbook?
Every analysis teaches a reusable lesson. These collect in your Personal Playbook — categorized by skill, tagged by what worked, and resurfaced through the week so you actually remember them.
What's First Move?
Upload a match's dating profile screenshot instead of a conversation. Caliber reads their prompts, finds conversation hooks, and coaches you on three opener directions — with reasoning for each. When they respond, the thread transitions into conversation coaching automatically.
Is Caliber safe and ethical?
Caliber never suggests persistence after silence, sexual escalation without mutual signals, or manipulative tactics. If you're spiraling over a non-response, Caliber redirects you toward perspective — not more strategies. Clarity over games, always.
